Community Description:ADD/ADHD For Women
Devoted to the interests, concerns, and specific problems faced by women with ADD/ADHD and how we deal with them. Whether you're a student or a professional, young or old, or anywhere in between: everyone is welcome.

Our focus is on positive, constructive discussion. Humor is always encouraged and appreciated! However, this is not what is considered a "safe space." Some ADHDers have trouble formulating observations in a way that is completely diplomatic, or speak before they think it through thoroughly. We don't want to discourage anyone from speaking their mind because they're afraid they might say something wrong. If all you want is cuddles, this may not be the community for you.

However: personal attacks, trolling, and wanking won't be tolerated, and you'll get banned for being a jerk. (What is being a jerk? The mod knows it when she sees it.)

This community is:

A place to discuss any aspect of ADD/ADHD or living with it, ask questions about the experience of others, and share your own experiences.

A place to discuss treatment options including medication, cognitive-behavioral therapy, alternative treatments, and diet/lifestyle changes.

A place to share information and resources for ADD/ADHD, especially as it pertains to women.

A place to interact with people who are dealing with similar struggles in life.

Although discussion from everyone is welcome here, if you haven't been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD and you suspect you may have it, please seek the advice of your doctor. ADD/ADHD can have a severe impact on your everyday life, and depression and anxiety are commonly associated with ADD/ADHD. The sooner you begin treating it the sooner you can get your life on track.
